میں نے اکثر یہ سوچا ہے چاہت کیا ہے کتنا چاہا جا سکتا ہے کیسے اک احساس کو ماپا جا سکتا ہے چاہت کے اعماق میں پنہاں بےچہرہ احساس کی کوئی کھوج لگائی جا سکتی ہے کیا کوئی معیار مقرر ہو سکتا ہے؟ اک آواز نے میری سوچ پہ دستک دے کر مجھے سے پوچھا کیا یہ سانسیں جن کی بابت زندہ ہو تم کیا یہ سانسیں گن سکتے ہو؟ کیا آنکھوں میں پلنے والے سارے دکھ پہچانتے ہو؟ کیا آنکھوں کے اندر جا کر آنکھ سے باہر آنے والے اشکوں کی تصویریں ڈھونڈ کے لا سکتے ہو؟ کیا تم ایسا کر سکتے ہو؟ کیا تم کو معلوم ہے آنکھیں خواب کہاں سے لے آتی ہیں؟ کیا تم سارے خواب سنبھال کے رکھ سکتے ہو؟ کیا تم رات کی رانی کی خوشبو کا پیچھا کر سکتے ہو؟ کیا تم ہاتھ نہ آنے والے سارے رنگوں ساری خوشبوؤں سے اپنا ناطہ توڑ کے پھر بھی زندہ رہ سکتے ہو؟ کیا تم جو بھی کرنا چاہو کر سکتے ہو؟ جب تم کچھ بھی کر نہیں سکتے پھر بےکار سی سوچیں لے کر کیوں بیٹھے ہو؟ پیار کرو!!
